first who are these guys?
Eunju SHIN Dance Compnay is the trailblazer of a new path for traditional Korean dance. As a successor of Taepyung-mu and Yansanhak-chum, the Intangible Cultural Heritage No. 92, Eunju SHIN creates works that integrate contemporary experimentation with a multi-faceted language of the body and motion, based on her artistic passion for contemporary expression and reinterpretation of tradition.
EDx2 Dance Company strives to present a unique and original repertoire, teeming with artistic sensitivity and descriptive movements. Estrablished by Choreographer In-soo LEE, who is often labeled a street dancer-turned-choreographer, this group adeptly delves in to such artistic genres as hip-hop, contemporary dance, drama, mime, and acrobatics.
What happened that day? :
Little did i know that today would be All korea day. lol i got my haircut today done by a korean stylist and then well i got a good cut despite my old stylist not being around (Lili please come back! to Ph). So after getting a haircut i went to buy some hairspray. Morning before i even did anything i watched the game and... well Spurs got the win in Game one against Miami (I was stuck at home during the morning due to some weird stomach flu that i occasionally get due to the gall bladder removal surgery that i had a year ago).
Later that day the stomach flu calmed down and i was still able to pick up my foot and meet up with my friend Myeongju Keum at CCP to watch this event. She invited me the other day to see the show. I was really glad to see her, when i was lining up for the registration for the tickets she told me to come to the desk and so i did. Once i got there she gave me the ticket and i didnt need to line up for the ticket.
I got a Free BB cream from Missha, not really sure what to do with it. It says it hides the blemishes on your face... should i try using this? lol! after the show there was a really really huge rain fall.... at times like this im like.. "fuck this country why does the flood condition never improves?" there has been numerous flood calamities over the last 3-4years and no improvement at all!
The ART in the show:
What i watched was a different kind of design. The performance was really great! it was art in the form of movement and motion. The traditional Dances had really great motions in it and u can even see the trail of movements in the stage due to the lighting effects and it really creates a good visual art. Other performing group was the contemporary dancers. They too have a good thing going! they started with some comedy acts which was really cool! they did some sort of fight scene that's choreographed into a dance. The two starting dancers had really great movements and visually they created good art! later on they included different members and different dances. Overall the performance was really amazing! their movement was insane and moving really snappy and at the same time graceful. Its rare that i talk about something like this but today was really different from other day.
I should watch more of these next time, and oh by the way i also spent the moments trying to observe whats inside a theatre~ i took pictures of some detailed designs
